Happy New Year and welcome to the latest TADLOP newsletter. I now have the honour of submitting these to you every two months. Please e-mail me if you have any information that you would like included in the next edition due out in April.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our President Eve Cooper, who died on Sunday 6^th January 2008, after an illness bravely borne. Eve joined the society in 1972 and was in our first show 'Calamity Jane'. She was a life member and contributed in all aspects of the society. Eve performed lead roles in many shows including Anna in 'The King and I', Aunt Ellie in 'Oklahoma' and Yente in 'Fiddler on the Roof'. She was always an active member of the committee and a stalwart of the society. Eve will be sorely missed.

Following the sell-out of our last Murder Mystery Evening, we are at it again at the Lion Hotel, Broseley on Friday 29^th February. The cost is £19.95 per ticket. Please contact Robin Cooper or Stephanie Hood at rehearsals or telephone 07773388825. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

So as Glenda Hillcrest celebrates her 45^th year as Chairwoman of BroseleyWI, the locals are asking questions. Who will not make dessert? Will Ida bring her mum? And who is the unexpected guest?

This will be a night of local village merriment, carbon offsetting, crochet, jam and of course who will reveal the "RED PIMPLE?"

Rehearsals for Scarlet Pimpernel are going very well. The commitment of the cast, directors and volunteers is plain to see, and are sure it is going to be a very powerful show. The stage crew are on the lookout for the following items:

*Plain/clear acrylic beaded door curtains
*A wooden tree swing
*Artist's brushes
*Thick hemp garden rope

Finally, we are hoping to go to see 'Mary Poppins' in September, in Birmingham. More details in the next newsletter but be prepared as we will need the money quickly, so start saving now!
