Fare well Fare well, Gods
speed Titanic! What a fantastic week! Well done to everyone who was involved. This production took a massive commitment from the
membership and I know so many of you went above and beyond the call of duty! It
just goes to show that with determination and hard work almost anything can be
achieved. However, a great deal of work did fall on a relatively small group of
people and we must make greater efforts to share out the workload. Our
committee is small compared to other societies. Our sub committees worked very
well and must be developed and strengthened further. You only need to look at
other people who have done ‘Titanic’ to fully appreciate what we have achieved.
Whatever you did, however small, a huge thank you! I know many of you sold a
considerable number of tickets and hopefully, as a result, we are now in a more
financially secure position. As Lynn said, there are too many too thank but it
was a huge team effort that has certainly brought us closer together and we
have all made new friends because of this beautiful musical. It is very nice to
see a more active social side, which resulted in a very memorable brewery trip!
Now Its time to move on!
The Scarlet Pimpernel
awaits us! It the meantime we have the AGM and a concert to sort out. Lets
please try to attend the AGM which is on WEDNESDAY 30th May 7.30
at the RED LION. It’s YOUR society and it
needs your support. Our NEXT MEETING will be on WEDNESDAY May 23rd
at The Red Lion 7.30 when hopefully I will have some music for us to look at or
at least listen to. We don’t have much time so it will
be pieces that we either know or have a good grasp of already!

‘They seek him here, they seek him there, those Frenches seek him everywhere!’
Look forward to seeing you all soon!
