TADLOP NEWSLETTER MAY ‘06

WELL DONE!

Well done all of you for ‘SCROOGE’ and in particular to David Leask for a superb performance in a demanding role.  Not forgetting the production team, David Griffiths, Mark Parry and Debbie Ashford. The stage crew managed by John Brown and Peter Cooper, worked very hard all week (I can confirm that!) well done lads! Not forgetting Norma Tranter and the ever-busy props department, the front of house team, Lynn, doing hair and helping Josie Downing who worked tirelessly with costumes. Please forgive me that I don’t mention you all.  It is a huge team effort requiring a tremendous amount of effort. Last but not least, the Committee who had to organise the whole thing! Audiences could have been better and we can perhaps look at aspects of our organisation in order to improve for the future. Thanks once again to you all. Feed back on the show would be very much appreciated either to me or other members of the committee – email, phone or write.

Time to move on. The TITANIC trip takes off on May 6th to Blackpool. All those who are going, please meet at 1PM at the Red Lion. I hope it will be a rewarding experience! Its nice to have a TADLOP trip again – we used to have them quite often in the past.

SUNDAY 21 MAY 7.30

_____________________________________________________________________

An enjoyable evening for all to listen to the music, combined with a power point presentation of pictures from the show and of the Titanic itself, with a sing through of the main theme!  Refreshments available and you can purchase drinks from the pub.

I would like to start sending Newsletters by E-mail. If you contact me simply to say who you are, I can put your e-mail address into a TADLOP group and send it off. This will save a considerable amount of time and expense. To others it will still go out normally. We could do with an influx of new members or indeed old ones returning. Please do come along on the 21st May!

Auditions for new members WEDNESDAY 24th May at 7.30 Ketley Methodist Church.  Application forms available from the address below. (sing a song of your own choice & please bring your music should you require the pianist.)
